We had a successful Shred day at the Greenwood Mall on October 13th, and Anderson Mall and BBB office in Greenville on October 20th. We shredded 24,000 lbs, collected six bins of computer equipment and two boxes of cell phones for the Verizon HopeLine.
Our next Shred Days for 2013 will be held at the following locations:
April 6th from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at: Greenwood Mall, 420 Bypass 72 NW
April 20th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at two locations:
- Better Business Bureau Office - 408 N Church Street, Greenville
- Anderson Mall - 3131 N Main Street, Anderson
Consumers and Businesses may bring up to 10 small banker boxes per vehicle to shred at the Anderson and Greenville locations and 5 boxes for the Greenwood location.
At the Greenville and Greenwood location, Goodwill will be collecting computers, printers, etc which they will "crush or wipe all hard drives in accordance with the standards of the Department of Defense to ensure that the personal information of our donors is never at risk."
At all locations we will collect used wireless phones, batteries and accessories that can be refurbished to provide phones and cash grants to local shelters and non-profit organizations that focus on domestic violence prevention and awareness sponsored by Verizon HopeLine.
